CARDIO BOXING

This is a fun and fast paced one hour workout.  All fitness levels welcome! Each class will start with a 15 minute warm-up to get you ready for 8 three minute rounds on the bags.  In cardio boxing, you will be throwing all sorts of punches and combinations on the hanging bags. You will finish up with abdominal exercises.  Cardio boxing is a full body workout! Come ready to sweat!

CARDIO KICKBOXING

Cardio kickboxing is an hour long class that includes a 15 minute warm-up, 8 three minute rounds on the bags, and finishes up with an ab workout.  All fitness levels welcome. In this class, you will throw lots of combinations involving not only punches, but knees, elbows, and kicks. Every part of your body will get a workout!

MMA

In these classes, we will teach you the fundamentals of striking needed to become a well rounded MMA fighter.  You will learn to fight long (kickboxing distance), medium (boxing range), and inside (dirty boxing/ Thai clinch).  The movement, techniques, and balance used in MMA are different than any single striking discipline. We will give you the tools to use the most effective techniques from each art form.  As Bruce Lee once said, “Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.”

NO GI BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU 

NoGi BJJ is the art of grappling without the “gi” or “Kimono.”  The focus is centered on submissions and wrestling for combat sports and self defense.  BJJ will teach you that size doesn’t matter. Whether you’re a child, a female, smaller stature, or a 260 pound person, you will have the knowledge to defend or compete against anyone of any size.

POWER PUNCH PARKINSON’S 

This is a non-contact boxing program for people with Parkinson’s disease.  Our class is a partnership between Parkinson’s Association of the Rockies and Grinders Fitness.  This class is led by Shannon Sinn and a physical therapist. Physical therapy research has shown boxing to be effective in improving balance, cognition, mobility, and quality of life.  Our class is fun, energetic and individualized to your abilities.
